PROVEN ROTAX® V-TWIN POWER – Powered by a 65 hp Rotax® 976 cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine producing 59 lb-ft of torque, the Defender XU HD9 delivers strong, reliable performance for towing, hauling and tackling demanding terrain. Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC™) with EFI ensures smooth, responsive power delivery in all conditions.
CONFIDENT TRACTION ANYWHERE – Selectable Turf Mode, 2WD and 4WD combined with the Visco-Lok† auto-locking front differential provide adaptable traction across mud, gravel, grass and uneven worksites—helping protect turf while maintaining grip when you need it most.
WORK-READY SUSPENSION SETUP – A Double A-arm front suspension and TTA rear suspension with an external sway bar deliver 10 inches of travel front and rear. This balanced setup provides stability under load, predictable handling and a comfortable ride on rough ground.
CONTROLLED, COMFORTABLE HANDLING – Twin-tube gas-charged shocks front and rear are tuned for utility use, keeping the Defender XU HD9 composed when towing, carrying heavy payloads or navigating uneven terrain throughout long workdays.
BUILT TO HAUL & TOW – With a 1,000 lb cargo box capacity, 1,500 lb payload capacity and an impressive 2,500 lb towing capacity, the Defender XU HD9 is designed to handle serious work. A rear hitch with tow ball and brake holding mechanism come standard for added control on slopes.
WHEELS & TYRES – Equipped with durable 27-inch 8-ply XPS Trail Force tyres mounted on 14-inch cast-aluminium wheels, the Defender XU HD9 offers reliable traction, puncture resistance and long-lasting performance in demanding environments.
